Kiskonjoki River- Heikkiläntie Bridge
Self-service kayak rental by Kiskonjoki River 1.6.-31.8.2024. You always book and pay your rental kayaks on our webshop. We deliver your rental kayak by Heikkiläntie Bridge, which is an easy spot starting and ending your kayaking tour.
Kiskonjoki River is a sheltered and easy kayaking destination. If you will, it is also possible to kayak all the way to the sea side Meripirtti Beach. That tour demands more advanced kayaking skills, though. You can leave rental kayaks at Meripirtti, too.
Time for kayak rental is between 10 am and 8 pm.
Prices
We rent size M seakayaks, with adjustable foot rests. With a kayak you'll have also a life vest, paddle and a spray skirt.
Minimun rental time is 2 hours and price 30 € per two hours. Extra hours are always 5 €. For example a four hour rental is 40 €.
Estimate you rental time
Average paddling speed is 3-6 km / hour depending of course of speed and direction of a wind and how advanced kayaker you are. Despite the actual kayaking time, reserve some 10 minutes before and after kayaking for adjutments and cleanig your rental kayak.
Kayking from Heikkiläntie Bridge to Meripirtti Beach is 8 km / around 2 hrs.
Kayking from Heikkiläntie Bridge to Latokartanonkoski rapids and back is around 10 km / 2,5 h
Tips and hints
Come with your kayaking gear on and visit toilet before your kayaking tour. There is no possibilities to change clothes or visit bathroom.
When renting your kayak we will provide some ideas for routes.
On upstreat river is more narrow and has an nice jungle like atmosphere. You may kayak upriver and then turn back to downriver. Stream isn'st very strong.
When kayaking to downriver towards sea, you may have some stronger wind when river bed gets wider.
the only place, where you can disembark and get out of the kayak is a hlf km before Latokartanonkoski on your left side.
